About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Atlantic Fruit Processors (AFP) is a modern, high-capacity agri-processing company with deep local roots and a bold global outlook. Based in South Africa’s fertile Western Cape, we transform fresh, locally grown produce into bulk fruit purées, concentrates, and tomato paste for industrial and export markets.

We’re more than just manufacturers — we’re part of a movement to keep more value in Africa by building processing capacity close to the source. As a 60% black-owned business, we believe in transforming the food industry not only through what we produce, but how we produce it: sustainably, inclusively, and with long-term partnerships in mind.

AFP is backed by experienced operators and farmers, including ABL Farming, one of the largest guava and tomato producers in the region. Together, we’ve built a vertically integrated supply chain that supports rural jobs, ensures traceability, and delivers consistent, high-quality ingredients — at scale.

We’re proudly local. Reliably global. And always processing the future.

Our Story

Atlantic Fruit Processors (AFP) was founded with a simple yet powerful idea: to create value where it’s grown. In South Africa, we grow world-class produce — but much of it leaves our shores unprocessed. AFP was born to change that.

Rooted in the Western Cape and backed by a deep understanding of agriculture, processing, and business, we saw an opportunity to build a local, scalable solution for the food and beverage industry — one that could compete globally, create jobs, and support local farmers.

We started with guava purée, launching a small plant to prove the model. The results were clear: excellent quality, strong demand, and overwhelming support from partners. From there, we expanded into tomato paste, apple and pear concentrates, investing in a facility purpose-built for high-volume production using locally supported technology and sustainable supply chains.
